Opening year 1939 y.
v. Dsegh 1st St., 10 House

In 1939, in the village of Dzegh, Lori region, the father's house of the all-Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan became his house-museum.

The poet was born and raised in this house. The house was built by his father in the second half of the 19th century.

In 2002, it was renovated and the exhibition was renewed.

The yard of the house-museum is beautified by the bust of Tumanyan, whose author is Aitsemik Urartu. And the heart of Hovhannes Tumanyan is kept forever in the chapel. The house has 2 floors and 6 rooms, in which more than 300 samples representing the writer's life and literary activity are kept.

The bakery, the large hearth and the two showrooms are located on the first floor of the house. On the second floor, the poet's bed, desk, clothes and a number of other personal items are displayed.

Events for memorable dates and occasions are often organized. The annual Tumanian days and big celebrations always interest the visitors.
